Contact Forms and Customer DataFarm Jenny uses Hubspot, a leading Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, to manage its customer data. Hubspot securely stores this data and allows access only to authorized employees of Farm Jenny. Hubspot also helps us comply with privacy regulations around the globe by securing your express permission to maintain this information and contact you only when there is a valid business reason to do so. When you submit a contact form, your information is securely transmitted to our CRM. See “What rights you have over your data” below for viewing and deleting this stored information. The form may provide the option to subscribe (opt-in) to receive marketing communication from us. If you change your mind at any time, you can unsubscribe from these types of communication using the information and links included in every marketing email from Farm Jenny.
Where we send your dataForm data you submit is encrypted and sent to our secure CRM. An email dispatched to a Farm Jenny employee responsible for following up on such requests. Only authorized Farm Jenny personnel are able to access customer data in the CRM.

What rights you have over your dataIf you have submitted a contact form or made a purchase, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Please contact us using the information provided below and we will assist in exporting or erasing your personal data.
When you place an order through our website, Farm Jenny LLC does not store or handle your payment information directly. We use best-in-class storefront and checkout process providers (e.g., Shopify) who specialize in keeping this information private and secure.
How our Smartphone Apps use Bluetooth
Many Farm Jenny products use Bluetooth to communicate with your smart device (smartphone, tablet, etc.). Bluetooth is a short-range communication technology present in nearly all such devices. We use Bluetooth in finding and configuring new Farm Jenny devices. We use Bluetooth Beacons to detect your animal’s location (proximity) to certain locations of interest. Finally, Farm Jenny uses Bluetooth as part of Bray Mobile™, a shared network of users’ devices which can privately and securely connect your animal’s wearable sensor to the Farm Jenny cloud.
When you enable the Bray Mobile feature on your phone, Farm Jenny animal sensors, even sensors from other Farm Jenny users, can discover your phone and use it to communicate with the Farm Jenny cloud. For this to work, your phone emits a signal (a Bluetooth advertisement) that tells the sensors that Bray Mobile is available on your device. This signal does not contain any personally identifiable information. Modern smartphones use a random and frequently changing Bluetooth address so that this signal can not be used to track you. When a sensor uses Bray Mobile on a smartphone, the animal data is encrypted and cannot be viewed or intercepted, whether it is your sensor or another subscriber’s. The system is private and secure.

How our Smartphone Apps use your location
The Farm Jenny app requests permission to use your smartphone’s location during the installation process. The app uses this location information to improve your experience with the app and to help determine the location of animals where there are no Farm Jenny Field Receivers, Beacons, or other farm-based location devices present.
Your phone’s location can be used to determine the physical location of newly purchased Farm Jenny hardware, as part of the setup process for your new device.
When your animal leaves the farm, Bray Mobile can use your phone’s location (e.g., GPS) to estimate the location of nearby animals. This feature allows you to see your animal’s current location or location history, for example to monitor a horse being trailered or to track a trail ride. If you choose not to grant the app with location permissions, including access to location even when you are not using the app, you may not realize the full benefits of Bray Mobile.

What is Bray Mobile?
Bray Mobile™ is a shared network of smartphones that enable your animal’s wearable sensor to communicate with the Farm Jenny cloud when off the farm, including trailering, at shows, or on the trail. Using the Bluetooth connection in your phone, a sensor can establish a private and secure connection to the cloud using any in-range smartphone running this app.
How does Bray Mobile work?
Bray Mobile uses the Bluetooth connection in your phone to establish a private and secure connection between nearly animal wearable sensors and the Farm Jenny cloud using a private and secure method. Your phone emits a signal (a Bluetooth advertisement) that tells the sensors that Bray Mobile is available on your device. If you allow Bray Mobile to access your device’s location, it will be used by the cloud to estimate the location of the animal.
Should I participate in Bray Mobile?
By enabling Bray Mobile, you are joining other Farm Jenny users in detecting issues with their animals early, saving lives. With just a handful of Farm Jenny users at an off-farm event, you can realize real-time visibility into your animal, even when you aren’t at their side.
Does Farm Jenny charge anything for Bray Mobile?
No, Bray Mobile is free, but will use a small amount of your device’s internet data.
How much bandwidth and data will Bray Mobile use?
A tiny amount. Farm Jenny sensors check in with the cloud infrequently (about once per minute) and send a tiny bit (~100 bytes) of data at slow speed (11Kbps). Unless yours is the only phone within range of hundreds of animal sensors for an extended period of time, using Bray Mobile will use only of small fraction of your data.
Will I know which animals are connecting using my smartphone?
You won’t – the system is private and secure. Information your phone relays for each animal, even your own, is encrypted.
How does Bray Mobile protect my animal’s data?
Farm Jenny uses modern encryption and authentication to ensure your animal’s data is private and secure.
If I disable Bray Mobile, can I still use the app?
Yes, you will still be able to access your animal’s data in the cloud, but you won’t enjoy all the benefits of real-time monitoring when your animal leaves your home farm.
Why does Bray Mobile ask for location permissions?
Bray Mobile uses your phone’s location (e.g., GPS) to estimate the location of nearby animals. This feature works best when you give this app permission to access your phone’s location at all time, including when the app is not being actively used (i.e., ‘in the background’). If you choose not to grant this permission, you may not be able to see your animal’s location once you leave your home farm.
If I change my mind, how can I modify my settings?
In the app, go to Settings – Bray Mobile and enable or disable the feature. To change permissions granted to the app, uses your device’s privacy settings.
Will Bray Mobile work if I do not have a cellular or WiFi connection?
No, probably not, unless someone else in your party or in the vicinity running Bray Mobile does have a cellular or other internet connection on their device. For example, if you are on a trail ride with a friend and one of you uses Verizon® and the other uses AT&T®, Bray Mobile will work wherever either carrier has coverage.
