Tammy Crouthamel, Co-Founder and CEO
Tammy is passionate about growing Farm Jenny, to solve real problems for farmers just like her. She has spent most of her life living on farms and caring for animals, especially horses, chickens and goats, and being involved with 4-H. She has over 20+ years of experience as a writer, speaker, knowledge manager, researcher, saleswoman, marketer and small business owner. She has a degree from Penn State in communications, animal science and environmental issues. She spent the first 10 years of her career working in the technology industry for a computer and data warehouse company. She also has a lifetime of experience owning, caring for, riding, driving, and showing horses, plus raising chickens and goats. She loves farm life with Co-Founder, Rob, and their two boys in Mars, PA. Tammy enjoys dressage, trail riding, volunteering as a 4-H leader, and helping her son with his horse.
Rob Crouthamel, Co-Founder and COO
Rob is a former Air Force officer and has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Penn State. He has over 20 years’ experience developing safety-critical products including vital signs monitors, hazardous gas detection equipment, and lone-worker protection systems. When he’s not working directly on Farm Jenny technology, he enjoys doing chores around the farm that he and Co-Founder, Tammy, own in the Mars, PA area, where he usually comes up with new innovations for Farm Jenny. They have two boys, 2 horses, a dog, a cat and too many chickens to count.
Nate Drake, Head of Software
Nate does a little bit of everything software related at Farm Jenny. He has over 20 years’ experience in Full-Stack software and app development. He loves to code! His specialties include… Nate holds a Computer Science degree from Duquesne University. He lives in Pittsburgh, PA where he enjoys spending time with family, music and good coffee….
Alexis Baney, DVM, Veterinary Advisor
Dr. Baney grew up in Central PA where she spent her youth riding horses, participating in 4-H and showing hunter jumpers. She worked as a Veterinary Technician for over 4 years before receiving her veterinary degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in New Jersey. She completed a 1-year internship at Brandon Equine Medical Center in Florida. She has worked with Allegheny Equine veterinary practice in the Pittsburgh and surrounding area since 2015. She is using Farm Jenny for Horses on her personal farm and is advising our team on how to continue to improve the solution.
